View of a two-story brick and white house with stairs leading to a glass door, surrounded by brick and white fences, under a clear blue sky.

This project involved a two-story rear-yard addition and a full renovation of an existing single-family home, originally built in 1940. The addition expanded the home’s square footage to accommodate the needs of a family of four.

To maximize interior space while adhering to zoning restrictions, the addition features a thin brick veneer finish. The structure itself is constructed from masonry block and reinforced with structural steel framing.

The First Floor was reimagined to create an open and efficiently organized layout. It includes a living room, kitchen, dining room, and powder room, with particular focus given to enlarging and optimizing the kitchen.

The Second Floor now accommodates three bedrooms, an office, a bathroom, and a new outdoor terrace. The primary bedroom was enlarged and features direct access to the terrace, enhancing the connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
